Taking Our Time

I met Vanessa when I took her professional head shot to accompany her new job.  We hit it off and scheduled a family photo session, but as the session approached the weather wasn’t cooperating.  Instead of force it, we chose to take our time. Mid-November was when I got to meet her beautiful family for their long-anticipated photo session. It was cold, but it wasn’t raining and we were so grateful!

I typically like to turn my photo sessions around in four weeks or less, but Vanessa wasn’t in a hurry.  Since we were about to step into the hectic holiday season, we gave ourselves permission to take our time.  Vanessa got to linger over her proofs to decide which ones she just HAD to take home.  I got to set my To Do List aside over the holidays and just hang with my crew. It was refreshing! So here we are… seven weeks after Vanessa’s photo session, putting the finishing touches on fun portraits of a beautiful family.  Thank you Vanessa (and family) for giving us both the freedom to take our time and savor the process.  May God bless you and your family in this new year.
